    The goalGathering new knowledge of basic and advanced fields of synthesis, reactivity and characterization of heterocyclic compounds, as well as of their significance for various chemical and biochemical processes. ; ;
    The outcome; Students should be capable of determination and understanding of the mechanisms of the chemical reactions of heterocyclic compounds, as well as the methods for their characterization. They should also be familiar with the industrial and pharmaceutical application of heterocyclic compounds. ; ;
    Contents
    Contents of lecturesThe lectures consist of theoretical studies of the mechanism of the reactions of heterocyclic compounds, as well as the methods for their preparation. The accent is on the mechanism of the electrophilic aromatic substitution, as well as the cyclization reactions, nucleophilic addition and ring opening reactions.
