Study programme
Lecturer (for classes)
Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
ConditionChemistry of macromolecules or Properties of polymer materialsОблик условљености
The goalStudents acquire knowledge on advanced techniques for determination of polymer properties both in solution and in solid state. Students are required to present a research study on some experimental method (seminar).
The outcomeAfter the students fulfilled all the requirements and passed the exam, they are (i) capable of choosing a proper experimental technique for required measurements and to process the obtained data, (ii) they acquire comunicational and social skills neccessary for team work, and (iii) they are capable of clearly defining experimental problem, finding methods of solving it and of presenting obtained results.
Contents of lecturesDetermination of polymer molar mass by static and dynamic light scattering. Determination of polymer molar mass and molar mass distribution by gel permeation chromatography and by MALDI-TOF-MS method. Field flow fractionation. Determination of polymer branching. Determination of supermolecular structure of polymers. Electronic microscope - TEM and SEM. Scanning probe microscopes. Thermal, mechanical and optical polymer properties and methods of their determination.Determination of dielectric properties of polymers.
