The goalThe monitoring of air to determine compliance with ambient air quality standards, the provision of air monitoring in real time when accidental pollution type, an analysis of the trend movement of pollutants, assessment and planning in accordance with the legislation. Continuous level measurement of pollutants in the air, prediction of the level of pollutants over time, result analysis and reporting appropriately.
The outcomeUnderstanding of the importance of categorization of hazardous and harmful substances in the air, connecting with the legislation in this power budget, linking chemical properties and behavior in the environment. Competence of students to apply in practice the knowledge acquired for evaluation, use, removal and disposal of pollutants from the air.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesIntroduction to groups of chemicals that are classified as pollutants in the air environment. Specially processed gaseous pollutants, such as ozone, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, then fine particles with a diameter less than 2.5 microns and meteorology conditions. Data allow the development of programs to reduce the concentration of the studied pollutants from sources of pollution and effective removal of pollutants from an air environment.
Contents of exercisesImpact assessment of contaminants in the air, and continuous air sampling at regular intervals, chemical analysis (instrumental technique), data analysis, the choice of the best methods of removal and predict the effects of the removal. Especially the observation of the presence of lead and its movement through the environment.
