    The goalThe course helps students to develop competences in order to to use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice in preparation of drinking water. ;
    The outcomeStudents posses ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems in plants for drinking water preparation.
    Contents
    Contents of lecturesPhysical and chemical properties of water; Water quality parameters; The quality requirements; Criteria for choice of water treating; Drinking water preparation from groundwater; Drinking water preparation from flowing surface water; Drinking water preparation from impounded water. ;
    Contents of exercisesDetermination of water quality parameters; Basic physical-chemical processes in water treatment: coagulation – flocculation, filtration, adsorption; Visits to plants for drinking water preparation. ;
