      The goalThe aim of this course is to introduce students to the theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of new electrochemical and alternative energy sources and their importance in preserving the environment. Throughout the course, students study classical and new types of electrochemical energy sources, and energy conversion and storage of alternative (renewable) sources. The course includes independent seminar work
      The outcomeAfter successful completion of the course students are: (i) acquire the ability to analyze complex problems connected to the electrochemical and renewable energy sources, (ii) mastered electrochemical and renewable energy sources (iii) acquire communication and social skills needed to work in the engineering group, (iv) acquire communication skills for clear formulation and presentation of the task, possible solutions and performance
      Contents
      Contents of lecturesThe course introduces students to contemporary trends of electrochemical power sources and use of alternative energy sources, the study of the types and characteristics of selected electrochemical power sources and methods of energy conversion and storage of alternative sources. Selected practical examples are analyzed in order to connect theoretical knowledge with practical problems.
