Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
    Condition/Облик условљености
The goalThe objective of the course is to get the students basic knowledge of the origin, composition and application of raw materials in the biotechnological production, the method of storing, monitoring and quality assessment.
The outcomeThrough the planned curriculum, test and seminar, students perceive the impact and the importance of raw materials in the quality of the final biotechnological products. The acquired knowledge will be able to apply for a variety of biotechnological production.
Contents of lecturesPreparation of raw materials that are part of the culture media Water - auxiliary materials in biotechnological production The basic classification of the dominant components of raw materials - as a source of carbon and energy, nitrogen and mineral elements. Distribution of materials in biotechnology to the development (primary, secondary, waste). and origin: 1 Raw materials of plant origin a) Primary - mono-and oligosaccharides, polysaccharides - starch, cellulose, inulin b) Secondary-molasses, hydrol, hydrolyzed wood, water steeping of corn c) Waste - from fruit and vegetables and lignocellulosic - sulphite meadow, plant remains 2 Raw materials of animal origin a) Primary - Lactose animal fets b) Secondary - whey, casein c) Waste-chitin, wastes of meat industry, municipal and household waste 3 Raw materials of microbial origin - yeast, yeast extracts, microbial biomass, waste, hydrocarbon Chemical and biological control of raw materials.
