      The goalTraining of students to independently perform scientific work, write scientific papers and PhD thesis and scientifically present the results in different ways by respecting the standard methodology of scientific research and principles of scientific ethics.
      The outcomeAfter the course, the student should be trained to: 1. Efficiently search and use the literature as well as to cite it correctly 2. Successfully process the results of experimental work and present them correctly 3. Create and write the PhD thesis 4. Independently write original scientific paper or review paper 5. Successfully communicate with reviewers and editors of the scientific journals 6. Prepare a poster for the scientific conference

      Contents of lecturesImportance of scientific research; phases of the scientific research; principles of scientific ethics; types of scientific papers; structure of an original scientific paper (processing of the research results; graphical and table presentation of the results; formatting of the citates and references; writing of scientific papers); structure of a review paper; different approaches to literature search (literature search using the databases for electronic literature search); correct writing of abstracts for scientific paper and conference; selection of scientific journal; correspondence with reviewer and editor of the scientific journal; review of a scientific paper; creation of the poster presentation; preparation for the oral presentation.structure of a PhD thesis.
