The goalThe goal of this course is to teach students basic concepts and theoroms from the following areas: Basic elements of high Mathematics, Real functions of one real variable, Diferentiation calculus, Elements of linear algebra and analytic geometry
The outcomeThis course provides knowledge that can be applied to other natural science and technical-technological courses taught in the department. The course is intended to enable students to successfully apply the acquired mathematical knowledge in solving techical and technological problems.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesBasic elements of modern mathematics-mathematical logic, set theory, real numbers, complex numbers. Real functions of one real variable-binar relations, elementary functions, polynomial functions, sequences of real numbers, limiting value of sequences, limiting value of functions, continuity of functions. Derivatives, diferentiation, high order derivatives, fundamental theorems from diferentiation calculus, Taylor's theorem. Elements of linear algebra and analytic geometry-determinants, matrices, systems of linear equations, vectors, equations of straight lines and plains
Contents of exercisesThe aim of the practical lessions is to solve examples and tasks that illustrate various concepts presented in the theoretical lessions as well as their mutual relations. Moreover, the practical lessions give an opportunity to exercise applying acquired theoretical knowledge to problems of natural and technical-technological sciences.
