The goalThe aim of the course is to provide to the students the basic knowledge about processing, properties and application of ceramic materials. The subject includes the basics of processing ceramic and glass materials. Within the course the different methods for synthesis of ceramic powders, the modern methods of design, drying and sintering of contemporary ceramics are discussed. Also the properties of modern ceramics are discussed.
The outcomeGaining the knowledge about the processing of ceramic materials and their specific properties that will enable the understanding of the structure, processing, properties and applications of ceramic materials.
