The goalThe course should point out the basic problems of environmental pollution, the consequences of the presence of pollutants in the air andwater and the possibilities of their removal. Students need to become familiar with analytical methods used to detect pollutants and acquire the knowledge needed to analyze real samples of air and water
The outcomeThe course includes basic learning on the sources and origin of air and water pollution, the consequences of the presence of pollutants in the environment and the possibilities of both prevention of emissions and removal of pollutants. The student should acquire knowledge on how to properly take a representative sample, prepare it for analysis, and choose a suitable chemical analysis method.
      Contents
Contents of lecturesTypes, character and sources of air pollution, taking a sample of air or waste gas, methods for analyzing gases and the ability to prevent pollution and eliminate pollutants. Types, character and sources of pollution of water, taking a sample of water and preparing a sample for analysis, methods for analyzing drinking water, surface and wastewater.
