The goalUnderstanding the ability of material to form weld joint with required properties is based on susceptibility to formation of cracks, resistivity to transition and preseto brittle behaviour and ина, отпорности споја ка прелазу у крто стање и оцене сигурности завареног споја са присутном прскотино
The outcomeStudent will be trained to properly estimate the susceptibility for crack initiation and therefore, abilitity of material to be welded without defects.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesConcept of presence of defects in weld joints. Basic groups of cracks. HOT cracks. Solidification and liquation types. Role of impurities. COLD cracks. Role of hidrogen, martensite and residual stresses. LAMELLAR tearring. Role of inclusions. Post welding heat treatment cracks. Influence of welding parameters on cracking. Specific tests designed for determination of different crack susceptibilities. Measures of prevention.
Contents of exercisesCase studies on weldability of different steels, irons, aluminium alloys and titanium alloys.
