The goalThe aim of the course is to give fundamental knowledge concerning the obtaining, structure, properties and application of medical textiles. The acquired knowledge enables the student to develop multi-disciplinary approach to new textile materials and technologies, and the work autonomy in research, as well as to design new medical textile materials.
The outcomeStudents will be able to use acquired knowledge about medical textile as a theoretical and practical basis in scientific research and professional work in the field of textile materials and technical textile materials. Students will acquire fundamental knowledge on contemporary medical textiles and products, and develop ability for critical analysis of existing knowledge and predict behaviour of these materials in exploitation. Also, students will be able to conduct research, design the project tasks and make strategic decisions.
