The goalThe aim of course is to enable students to connecting their acquired knowledge in the field of unit operations, with fundamental knowledge in the field of biochemistry and microbiology in order to perform complex and sensitive biochemical processes in discontinuous and continuous biochemical reactors and systems for wastewater treatment.
The outcomeStudents gain knowledge in the field of bioprocess engineering necessary for the management and design of various technological processes involving micro-organisms of the food, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology and the process in the field of environmental protection.
      Contents
Contents of lecturesThe course is acquired the necessary knowledge of engineering principles applied in the execution, monitoring and control of bioprocesses. Connecting of knowledge students acquire the basics of kinetics and biological processes, in particular the study performance techniques, principles of sterilization, transport phenomena, techniques of isolation and separation products bioprocesses. Тhe basics of mechanical, physical, chemical and biological processes that can be used for water supply and wastewater treatment are also included in the course.
