      The goalThrough the review and the analysis of the typical mechanisms of machines and devices used in the clothing manufacture, students learn about the types, characteristics, the method of operation and basics of automation of machines and devices in the contemporary clothing industry.
      The outcomeStudents gain the ability to independent approach in formulating and solving various problems that may occur during the industrial production of clothes. They develop skills in managing and improving the production process. Students also create awareness of teamwork.

      Contents of lecturesThe concept of the course includes classification of machines and devices in the production of clothes; machines and devices for quality control and preparation of textile material in clothing manufacture; spreading machines; classic cutting machines; contemporary cutting devices; marking devices and fusing machines. Special attention is paid to the working principle of the universal sewing machine. Fundamental characteristics of special sewing machines, sewing automata, and aggregates are presented in short. Course content also includes a working principle of pressing machines, as well as machines for internal transport.
