    The goalStructure, reactivity and nomenclature of organic compounds, as well as their physical and chemical properties and the methods of synthesis.
    The outcomeBasic knowledge of theoretic and experimental organic chemistry, which prepare the students for the research work as well as for the practical application.
    Contents
    Contents of lecturesNomenclature of the organic compounds. Functional groups. Alkanes and cycloalkanes. Stereochemistry. Alkenes, dienes, and alkynes. Aromatics. Alkyl and aryl halides. Alcohols, ethers, phenols. Nitrogen organic compounds, Aldehydes and ketones. Carboxylic acids. Carboxylic acid derivatives. Substituted carboxylic acids. Heterocycles. Dyes and pigments. Carbohydrates. Amino acids, peptides and proteins. Natural compounds. Synthetic macromolecular compounds.
    Contents of exercises Experimental techniques used in the organic chemistry laboratory. Basic methods for the separation and the purification of organic compounds. Synthesis of 6 organic compounds.
