The goalThe purpose of the course is to provide the students with a basic knowledge concerning the clothing physiology in the system humen body-environment-clothing; basics of human thermophysiology and influence of clothing on thermal balance.
The outcomeStudents reach knowledge level that enables them to take an active role in development and production of functional and comfortable clothing.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesCourse provides fundamental knowledge about physiological interactions in the system humen body-environment-clothing. Course covers: conditions for coordinate biochemical processes of humen body core; humen body as heat producer and heat transfer to environment; heat balance, body temperature and perspiration; heat balance and comfort; thermophysiological and skin sensory comfort; climate and climate parameters; humen body in „protective zone“; clothing as „protective zone“; clothing as variable in system humen body-environment-clothing; influence of fibers and textile materials and properties on clothing physilogical properties.
Contents of exercisesLaboratory practice covers physico-geometrical properties of textile materials; heat transfer through the textiles; sorption properties of textiles.
