    The goalGaining knowledge on water uses in industry, quality criteria and treatment processes depending on water sources.
    The outcomeStudents are able to design and operate the systems for water preparation for certain needs in industry, guided by water quality parameters.

    Contents of lecturesWaters for industrial uses: cooling waters, boiler feed waters, waters for manufacturing processes; Quality criteria of waters for industrial uses; stability of water; corrosion prevention; Selection of treatment procesess depending on of water sources; Removing of dissolved mineral matteria: chemical processes, ion-exchange, separation by membranes, distilation; Removal of gases: chemical and physical processes, Preparation of water for pharmaceutical and food industry.
    Contents of exercisesVisits to plants for preparation of water for industrial uses.
