The goalTo introduce students to elementary processes of organic chemical technology in order to obtain basic knowledge needed for understanding of other processes in the industry. Mastering of material and energy balances.
The outcomeStudent knows the elementary processes of organic chemical industry, relevant parameters or process monitoring and most important raw materials of organic chemical industry as well as the ways to obtain them and apply.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesThe course is devoted to analysis of the development of technological processes of chemical reactions up to industrial procedures, including the parameters for the successful execution and process control. Students learn about the organic chemical raw materials industry and ways of their acquisition and preparation, the basic methods of processing these raw materials, the characteristics of the process for obtaining products of organic chemical industry, as well as mastering the material and energy balances during production.
Contents of exercisesStudents learn the calculations of mass and energy balances for all areas listed in the program of lectures, especially in the area of obtaining intermediate products, and water treatment calculation for specific industrial processes. Within the subject, students will visit the industrial organic chemical plants in Serbia to learn about the processes and production.
