The goalThe overall objective is to develop the knowledge and skills of technological processes (products and systems) design. Specific objectives are: a) Mastering the elements of design theory related to the process, facilities and capacity design, the choice of technological processes, equipment and solutions, process safety, energy and fluid consumption, staffing needs, plant erection planning, etc. as well as the economic expressions of technological elements; b) Development of skills to use computer applications that support process design; c) Team-development of selected preliminary project.
The outcomeMastering the knowledge and skills of practical application of chemical engineering theory for future production purposes. Ability to develop appropriate process design project in the selected area. Ability of establishing the costs of process and plant elements. Experience of working in a design team, a valid formulation of the project and its presentation.
