The goalIntroducing students to environmental quality parameters, problems and consequences of environmental pollution and the application of classical and instrumental analytical methods in quality control and environmental monitoring.
The outcomeMastered the necessary knowledge in the field of environmental sampling, selection of methods for analysis and obtaining information on environmental quality and application of various environmental monitoring techniques.
      Contents
Contents of lecturesEnvironmental quality and the factors that influence it. Parameters that define the quality of the environment. Types, character and sources of air, water, soil pollution. Radiation and noise as pollutants. Detection limits and permissible concentrations of pollutants. Sampling techniques for different media. Preserving and preserving and preparing samples for analysis. Review of analytical methods for the analysis of dissolved gases, inorganic and organic substances. Gravimetric, volumetric, spectroscopic, chromatographic and electrochemical methods of analysis. Major regulations in the field of environmental protection. Theoretical basics of monitoring.
Contents of exercisesEnvironmental quality assessment using gravimetric, volumetric and instrumental methods.
