The goalAcquiring knowledge related to the emission of selected pollutants from certain sources into all parts of the environment, which are an integral part of the database. Data for these substances are collected through monitoring or calculation, and by monitoring the amount of waste generated. For each part of the environment, an analysis of the situation, evaluation and proposals for protection planning are made. Using the obtained values, a model of the distribution of individual pollutants is set and measures are taken to improve the quality of the environment.
The outcomeConsideration of the importance of creating a register of environmental pollutants for long-term monitoring of emissions and public reporting in order to ensure a healthy environment. Knowledge and application of legislation in this field. The students will be able to apply their knowledge in practice.
      Contents
Contents of lecturesTypes and quantities of pollutants emitted into the air, water and soil, and the amount of waste generated depending on the source. Information system as the basis of the database. Legislation. Control and limitation of pollutant emissions into the environment.
Contents of exercisesDetermination of emission from sources by calculation, database analysis. Modeling. Comparison of emissions from individual point sources, such as industrial plants, and from diffuse (line and surface sources)
