The goalThe aim of this course is to give to students theoretical knowledge about the structure, properties and synthesis process of materials. The course is giving insight to the processes in materials engineering and the corelation of specific properties and structure
The outcomeStudents will be able to connect the information about materials structure, and their properties and the possibility to interfere in those by selecting the processing of that material.
      Contents
Contents of lecturesThe course is the introduction to research method and practical results that contemporary materials science uses trough the interaction among structure, properties and processing of materials. All classes of materials would be studied trough: 1. Materials structure, 2. Solid state thermodynamics, 3. Kinetics of processes in materials science, 4. Transport phenomena in materials, 5. Mechanical properties of materials, 6. Thermodynamic properties of materials, 7. Optical properties of materials, 8. Electric properties of materials, 9. Magnetic properties of materials, 10. Processing of materials, 12. Materials selection principles.
