The goalStudents acquire knowledge on most recent theories on polymer miscibility, as well as on methods of blending polymers and miscibility determination. Special attention is paid to methods of compatibilization of otherwise immiscible polymers, which potentially leads to new materials of improved properties.
The outcomeAfter the students fulfilled all the requirements and passed the exam, they are capable of predicting if two polymers are potentially miscible, to plan experiments for miscibility investigation and to determine their phase diagram, they acquire knowledge on possible methods of properties improvements.
