The goalStudents master the laws and properties of colloidal systems, understand the importance of particles of colloidal proportions and are familiar with the wide possibilities of their application. The course enables the acquisition of narrowly specific knowledge in selected areas of colloid chemistry through the independent preparation of a seminar paper.
The outcomeAfter successfully mastering the course, students understood fundamental physico-chemical principles of colloidal behavior. Based on this, they are capable to select the appropriate colloid preparation method, the appropriate colloid purification method, the appropriate colloidal stabilization method, the appropriate colloidal coagulation method, as well as the appropriate experimental techniques for colloid characterization.
