    The goalThe aim of the course is to master the key garment contruction principles as well as involving in the principles of pattern cutting and grading.
    The outcomeStudents are well qualified to construct foundation (block) patterns for women’s wear, menswear and children’s wear.
    Contents
    Contents of lecturesThe course introduces basic principles of clothing anthropometry as well as the effects of body shape and posture on construction and modeling of clothing patterns. The sizing systems and European and Serbian size standards are reviewed together with the instructions for calculation of secondary measures. The techniques of making block patterns for women’s wear, menswear and children’s wear are presented. The principles of making block patterns for easy and close fitting garments, as well as the methods of pattern cutting and grading are explained.
