      The goalThe aim of the course is to acquire knowledge concerning the quality and the quality control in clothing industry.
      The outcomeStudents are trained for independent implementation of the quality control in clothing industry.
      Contents
      Contents of lecturesThis course enables students to gain the knowledge in the field of the quality control in clothing industry. An assurance and the management of the quality through control of the material, control of the production and control of the finished garment products are emphasized. Students also become familiar with the principles of the statistical quality control by the application of control cards as well as the methods of the assessment of quality costs.
      Contents of exercisesPractical lessons include the determination of the strength of adhesive bond between interlining and fabric, determination of the shrinkage of interlining, determination of the slippage resistance of yarns at a seam. Practical lessons in industrial plants are also realized with the aim to introduce students to the ways of organization and implementation of the quality control in clothing industry, emphasizing control of the input material, production control as well as output control of the produced clothes.
