        The goalAbility to understand and use texts from the scientific fields studied at TMF, developing abilities in listening, reading, writing and speaking English in this discourse.
        The outcomeThe concept of this course is to help students acquire knowledge in chemistry for engineers and introduce them into the terminology specific for that area. At the same time the important outcome is consolidating general English as a basis of successful acquirement of ESP.

        Contents of lectures1 Atoms, elements and measurements.Chemistry and its evolution as a science Modal verbs to talk about future probability.Modal verbs for necessity and obligation. 2 The elements and the periodic table.Radioactive elements. The origin of the chemical elements. Prohibition, obligation and permission in the past. First and second condition. 3 Atoms and Isotopes. Past perfect simple and continuous, have something done and reflexive pronouns 4 Substances and their properties. Future with will and will have done, past modal verbs of deduction, present perfect with for and since. 5 Properties and their units. Third conditional and /wish/ if only, reported questions.
        Contents of exercisesTranslating from English to Serbian and vice versa, tests in general English and ESP.
