The goalThrough this course students will learn the basic kinetic laws of metallurgical processes. Will be processed kinetic characteristics of the process of oxidation, reduction, dissociation, processes in metallurgical molten, and the principles of kinetic constants determinations.
The outcomeIndividual performing of energy and material balance calculations. The aim of this course is to study the kinetics of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions, the nature, structure and geometry of the phase boundaries in heterogeneous reactions.
    Contents
Contents of lecturesVan't Hoff rule. Determination of the reaction order. Playing the half-life reactions. Heat and mass transfer. Diffusion. The first and second Fick's law. Division of heterogeneous reactions: solid-gas, solid-liquid, solid-solid, liquid-gas, liquid-liquid. The influence of the structure of solids on the reaction rate. Errors in the structure. Nature and structure of the phase boundary. Geometry of the phase boundary. Development of the process on the surface of the partition and in the bulk of reagents.
