    The goalThrough this course students will learn the basic kinetic laws of metallurgical processes. Will be processed kinetic characteristics of the process of oxidation, reduction, dissociation, processes in metallurgical molten, and the principles of kinetic constants determinations.
    The outcomeIndividual performing of energy and material balance calculations. The aim of this course is to study the kinetics of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions, the nature, structure and geometry of the phase boundaries in heterogeneous reactions.
    Contents of lecturesVan't Hoff rule. Determination of the reaction order. Playing the half-life reactions. Heat and mass transfer. Diffusion. The first and second Fick's law. Division of heterogeneous reactions: solid-gas, solid-liquid, solid-solid, liquid-gas, liquid-liquid. The influence of the structure of solids on the reaction rate. Errors in the structure. Nature and structure of the phase boundary. Geometry of the phase boundary. Development of the process on the surface of the partition and in the bulk of reagents. Process kinetics of metallurgical molten. Kinetics of solid phase. Speed heterogeneous reactions. Speed heterogeneous reactions. Speed of heterogeneous reactions. Mathematical models of heterogeneous reactions depending on the degree of reaction as a function of time. Diffusion and kinetic area. The law of addition time-mixed kinetics. Kinetic characteristics of the process: oxidation of metals and alloys, decomposition of carbonates, metal sulfide, carbonyl and carbide combustion and reduction of oxides. Alloying of metals. ;
    Contents of exercisesThe principles of determining: the kinetic constants and calculation of the parameters of kinetics of metallurgical processes. Experiments and techniques for investigating the kinetics of heterogeneous reactions. calculation tasks.
