The goalThe overall goals of the course are provision of the basic knowledge of the problem of degradation and protection of the environment, sources of pollution and their impact, as well as the basic elements of technologies for reducing pollution emissions. The recognition of the possible health hazards in the work environment; the evaluation of hazards, the occurrence of harmful agents in the workplace, while also accounting for environmental protection. The close link between occupational and environmental health is emphasized, since the prevention of pollution from industrial sources, through adequate handling and disposal of hazardous effluent and waste, should be started at the workplace level.
The outcomeDefine basic concepts on environmental protection and occupational safety. Recognize the importance of the factors affecting the environment and occupational safety. Utilize basic legislation for environmental protection and occupational safety. Identify occupational accidents, comprehending the prevention methods from occupational accidents.
