    The goalIntroducing students to the usage and features of English in an academic context. Developing reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for studying and conducting academic research in English.
    The outcomeStudents acquire competencies for studying, using academic literature and active participation in academic activities in English. Students are prepared to pursue further education in their field in English in other academic communities.
    Contents
    Contents of lecturesThe course syllabus introduces students to the features of English in an academic context. Authentic academic texts are used for the purpose of developing learning strategies, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, revision of particular grammar items, and adoption of terminology characteristic of academic discourse.
    Contents of exercisesStudents enhance their academic skills through a variety of assignments, grammar, lexical and syntactic exercises, and discussions.
