    The goalStudent should learn about color and advanced utilization of techniques for controlled color reproduction in packaging printing and manufacturing process.
    The outcomeStudent is familiar with techniques necessary for controlled and predictable reproduction of color in the packaging printing and manufacturing process. Student is also familiar with specific problems which obstruct proper color reproduction in practice, as well as with prerequisites for printing company, necessary for color management.

    Contents of lecturesColor. Physiology of the human vision. Color space. Quantification of color. Color measurement. Color difference. Measuring techniques and equipment. Calibration and characterization of the equipment. Elements of the color management system. ICC-based color management. Direct conversion from one to another color space. Color management when dyeing materials in bulk.
    Contents of exercisesApplication of color management equipment used in printing industry. Application of measuring methods. Visit to the printing houses that utilize color management techniques.
