      The goalThe aim of the course is to provide basic theoretical knowledge about obtaining, structure, properties and application of technical textiles.
      The outcomeStudents will be able to use acquired knowledge about technical textiles as a theoretical and practical base in professional work in the area of technical textile materials and other textile technologies. Students acquire the necessary knowledge to work in industrial environments and in textile raw material trading.
      Contents
      Contents of lecturesCourse provides knowledge about chemistry and technology of technical textiles, with emphasis on their structure, properties, finishing processes and possible application. Course covers: technical textiles classification and market, technical fibers and yarns, technical fabric structures, textile for heat and flame protection, textile-reinforced composite materials, waterproof breathable fabrics, textile in filtration, textile in civil engineering, textile in transportation, medical textiles, textile in defence and finishing of technical textiles.
