| The goal | The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the production and application of building materials based on their defined properties. Objective is also to introduce to the students the characterization, quality control of building materials and environmental protection during their production and application. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Ceramic building materials, Inorganic binders and concrete, Building stone, aggregates and fillers, Inorganic materials for waterproofing protection, Inorganic materials for thermal, acoustic insulation and fire protection. | |||
| Contents of exercises | Testing of textural characteristics and microstructure of building ceramic, Test of setting time of cements, Testing of mechanical properties of concrete - testing of bending and compressive strength, Study of the materilas behavior during heating. | |||
