      The goalThe aim of the course is to master the fundamental and contemporary knowledge of comfort of textile materials and clothing. The knowledge acquired should provide guidance for the indenpendent design of textile materials (including their structural elements) and garments in order to obtain optimum human-clothing interaction.
      The outcomeStudents acquire the knowledge that will enable them to successfuly design comfort clothing textiles according to the product end-uses and customer demand.
      Contents
      Contents of lecturesThe course discusses physiological and sensory aspect of comfort. Thermal and tactile comfort and in particular, the properties of textile materials (together with their structural elements) influencing the perception of comfort, are involved. Thermal and tactile clothing comfort testing methods are reviewed. The aspects of psychological comfort related to the aesthetic properties of clothing are presented.
      Contents of exercisesThe evaluation of thermal and tactile comfort of textile materials and garments using subjective and objective techniques.
