The goalThe course is designed to enable the acquisition of fundamental knowledge of wear resistance materials. In this course students will acquire knowledge about different wear mechanisms, factors that influence a particular wear mechanism, and materials that are suitable for use in certain conditions of wear.
The outcomeBy acquiring knowledge about different wear mechanisms, factors that influence a particular wear mechanism, and materials that are suitable for use in certain conditions of wear, the students will be able to choose adequately the appropriate material for specific exploitation conditions.
