        The goalGeneral objective of the course is acquaintance of the basic knowledge of water resources and significant technological, phisicochemical, bilogical and medical aspects in water treatment for its many purposes, which are based on nature, more exactly exceptional selfpurification processes of water resources. Specific objective is presenting theoretical and practical knowledge of most important physicochemical processes in water treatment.
        The outcomeStudents acquired the basic theoretical and practical knowledge of water resources management, especially of the basic physicochemical processes in water treatment for its many purposes.

        Contents of lecturesHydrology; aquatic ecology fundamentals; water use cycle; water resource use; water quality parametars; ecological status/potential and chemical status of water; water selfpurification; basic physicochemical processes in water treatment
        Contents of exercisesStudy visit to scientific and professional institutions, institutes, agencies and laboratories with various activities in monitoring, utilisation and protection of water resources, as well as waterworks and industrial facilities for water treatment
