        The goalThe aim of the course is to provide the basic and advanced knowledge from the field of carbohydrates, proteins, natural and synthetic dyes and pigments necessary for textile engineers.
        The outcomeStudents will gain knowledge of basic principles of chemistry of carbohydrates, proteins, natural and synthetic dyes and pigments, which will enable them to analyze and connect new concepts easier in future studying and practical work.
        Contents
        Contents of lecturesThe study of carbohydrates, proteins, natural and synthetic dyes and pigments (classification, structural characteristics, properties, preparation. UV-protection and synthetic whitening agents. Ecological aspects of dyes and pigments synthesis.
        Contents of exercisesPreparation of p-nitroaniline red, malachite green, indigo, fluoresceine, eozine and ; study research work. ;
