The goal | Introducing of process-technological aspects of the valuable components recovery from waste by-products and raw materials. Acquiring engineering knowledge required for further training in the field of recycling of metals, non-metals, polymers, composites, technology design and environmental protection. | |||
The outcome | Students can independently follow and use engineering calculations, use the software packages for material and energy-balance calculations. Engineering knowledge for further theoretical and experimental activities of recycling and selection or combination of BAT technology solutions. | |||

Contents of lectures | The aim and the importance of recycling. Recycling in the developed world. Determining the resources, organization and preparation of waste collecting. Collecting, sorting and preparing waste for processing. Metal-flows. Shredding. Melting metallurgical processing. Sorting, preparation and recycling of batteries and accumulators. Special courses of electrical and electronic waste. Recycling of glass, ceramics and building materials. Recycling of polyolefins. Recycling of poly (vinyl chloride). Recycling of polystyrene. Recycling of poly (methyl methacrylate). Recycling of polycarbonate. Recycling of ABS. Recycling of polyamide. Recycling of poly (ethylene terephthalate). Recycling of thermonetworking polymers.
