Contents of lectures | Consider the crystal structure and microstructure of metallic materials, crystalline imperfections, experimental methods for structure determination, relationships between equilibrium phase diagrams and microstructures, representation of phase equilibrium in binary and ternary metallic systems, interpretation of phase diagrams | |||
Contents of exercises | Cover the topics related to metallographic preparation of samples, examination of metallic materials microstructures using light microscopy, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of microstructure, experimental determination of equilibrium phase diagrams, analysis of equilibrium and nonequilibrium microstructures of ferrous and nonferrous alloys. | |||
