      The goal
      The outcomeData presentation in graphical and tabular form through the use of modern software tools. The use of data acquisition and process control in engineering systems. The use of new technology and resources to design and perform experiments for engineering analysis. Working in teams to design an experiment and perform data acquisition and data analysis. Summarize and present experimental design, implementation and data in written format.
      Contents
      Contents of lecturesExperimental measurements and data and error analysis in an experiment. Graphical and tabular representation od data. Data modelling. Sensors. Measurements of non-electrical quantities by electric means - electrical transducers. Measurements of linear dimensions, force, moment, pressure, temperature, humidity, pH value, etc. Data acquisition systems - A/D and D/A conversion. Thermal noise and signal filtering. Dynamical measurements and fundamentals of process control. Actuators. PID regulators. Stability in feedback systems.
      Contents of exercisesThe analysis and representation of data collected through measurements. ORIGIN software. Design and use of a data acquisition system. LabView software. Temperature sensor calibration. The analysis of measurement noise.
