The goal | The aim of the study research work within the master's (diploma) thesis is to acquire experience and competences for independent performing and solving a specific scientific or professional task. Students are introduced to the problem solving methodology: problem definition, choice of experimental and / or analytical methods, collection of experimental and / or literature data, analysis of results and making conclusions. | |||
The outcome | Students have to be able for observation, analysis and making a choice of an appropriate methods for solving a specific scientific or professional problem. Students have acquired practical and analytical knowledge to collect and analyze data, to clearly formulate and present problems, solutions and results. | |||

Contents of exercises | The master's thesis represents the scientific research work on a particular problem in the field of study program.Students had a theoretical background of the problem, then devises an approach to research, defining the scientific contribution, and making the right choice of experimental and analytical methods. After completing the research, the student analyzes the obtained results and compares them with literature data. | |||

Methods of teaching | The mentor of the master's thesis prepares the task of scientific research or professional work for student, who becomes acquainted with the problem, searches the literature, learns about the methods for solving it. Based on the conducted analysis, the student suggests ways to solve the proposed problem. | |||
