The goal | The aim of the final exam is to show candidate's scientific maturity in critical analysis and presentation of the subject of his research work, in the selection of literature and proposing analytical and experimental methods for the realization of the goal of a doctoral dissertation. | |||
The outcome | Students have acquired the ability to perceive, analyze and develop an approach to solving a scientific or practical problem. The final exam is the basis of the future doctoral dissertation and should significantly contribute to the efficiency and success of its preparation. The final exam should also show the scientific basis of the topic of the doctoral dissertation. Successfully defended final exam is a condition for the doctoral dissertation topic application. | |||

Contents of exercises | The final exam is a study research work in which the student gives an overview of the existing scientific results in the scientific field that is the subject of the candidate's work with a review of recent literature (at least 30 citations). Student proposes a research plan with a choice of experimental and analytical research methods. | |||

Methods of teaching | After defining the topic of the doctoral dissertation in cooperation with the mentor, the student gets acquainted with the problem, searches the literature, investigates the existing solving methods. Based on the conducted analyzes, the student suggests ways of solving the proposed problems. After the written report is prepared, the candidate present and defends the Final exam in front of the Committee. | |||
