| The goal | The aim of this course is to introduce students to electrochemical deposition and characterization of non-metallic coatings – organic, ceramic and bioceramic coatings on metal substrates using electrochemical methods. The student should acquire basic theoretical knowledge of stability of electrochemicallly deposited non-metallic coatings in different agents, as well as experimental techniques for coating deposition and characterization. | |||
| The outcome | Students have gained basic knowledge about formation mechanisms of non-metallic coatings – organic, ceramic and bioceramic coatings on metal substrates using electrochemical methods. ; Students are acquainted with experimental techniques for coatings deposition and characterization, as well as for investigation of coatings stability in different agents. ; Students have the ability to apply acquired knowledge in engineering practice and research. ; | |||
