100 Years of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade
GeneralStudentThe Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy is celebrating a significant jubilee—one century of existence, development, and contribution to science. One hundred years of knowledge, research, and academic tradition were ceremonially marked on November 28, 2025, at an event held in honor of this important milestone.
In their addresses, the Chair of the Faculty Council, Prof. Dr. Gordana Kokeza, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mirjana Kijevčanin, expressed their gratitude to all generations of professors, associates, and students who, through their work, dedication, and vision, have built and shaped the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy. The jubilee was an opportunity to recall key events that have marked the Faculty’s development and work, as well as all those who contributed to it.

Awards were also presented to the Faculty’s best students. The “Student of the Generation” award was given to Višnja Jorović, a student of the Chemical Engineering study program. She also received the “Panta S. Tutundžić” award—named after the Faculty’s first dean—for completing her studies as the top fourth-year student. The company “Tigar Tyres – Michelin Serbia,” a long-standing partner of the Faculty, presented a gift to the student of the generation. The award and gift were accepted on her behalf by her family.

Special awards were presented to Ana Otašević, the best student of the Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology program (award presented by the Milica Nektarijević Foundation), Marija Vesković, the best student in the Electochemical Engineering field (the “Nedeljko Krstajić” award, donated by the company Sigma from Kula), and Aleksa Đurašević, the best student of the Metallurgical Engineering program (the “Ljubomir Nedeljković” award, donated by the Nedeljković family).

Awards “Panta S. Tutundžić” were also traditionally presented to the best students for completing the first, second, third, and fourth years of study.

The ceremonial academy was attended by deans and vice-deans of technological faculties from Serbia and the region, and a cocktail reception was organized after the ceremony.
