The goalAdopt the knowledge about synthesis, processing and properties of fibers used as reinforcement in composites having metal, ceramic and carbon matrix. Understanding the bonding over interphase and intephase properties and role in composites. The student is enabled to select the matrix suitable for precise reinforcement based on the lectures and proper research. The student, also obtaines and overview of techniques of processing for specific composites having metal, ceramic or carbon/graphite matrix.
The outcomeAt the end of the course the student is enabled to corelate the processing, structure and properties of composite materials. The student develops the crytical thinking and problem solving for a specific problem and is enabled to present in writen and oral form the conclusions based on proper research.
